Sundance Award Winners and the Challenges in Filmmaking

Earlier this morning in Park City, Utah, the winners of the 40th edition of the Sundance Film Festival were announced. The Grand Jury Prizes were handed out to In The Summers (U.S. Dramatic Competition), Porcelain War (U.S. Documentary Competition), A New Kind of Wilderness (World Cinema Documentary Competition), and Sujo (World Cinema Dramatic Competition)

The winner of the Festival Favorite Award went to Daughters. The film also picked up the Audience Award (U.S. Documentary Competition) presented by Acura alongside Dìdi (弟弟) which won the Audience Award (U.S. Dramatic Competition). Girls Will Be Girls (World Cinema Dramatic Competition) and Ibelin (World Cinema Documentary Competition) Win Audience Awards Presented by United Airlines.

2024 Sundance NEXT Award Winners

Little Death won the NEXT Innovator Award Presented by Adobe and Kneecap was the winner of the NEXT Audience Award Presented by Adobe.
