SAG-AFTRA and Studios Come to Tentative Agreement Ending Strike

Rumors around Hollywood and online sparked wildfire that the studios and SAG-AFTRA have finally came to an agreement and that the strike will be over as of 12:01 a.m. PT on Thursday, November 9. This tentative new 3 year deal would end the actors strike that has been going on since July, 2023.

The union released a statement saying “In a contract valued at over one billion dollars, we have achieved a deal… that includes “above-pattern” minimum compensation increases, unprecedented provisions for consent and compensation that will protect members from the threat of AI, and for the first time establishes a streaming participation bonus.”

The actors’ strike will have lasted a total of 118 days. SAG members will need to ratify the proposed contract, but now the actors will be able to get back to work.
