Halloween Kills returns to the big screen this October and in it’s 12th installment, John Carpenter’s Halloween Kills is a sequel to the box office smasher and 2018 reboot Halloween. Riding on the success of the Halloween reboot’s $76.2 million opening weekend at the domestic box office in 2018, this 2021 release is directed by David Gordon Green and stars Jamie Lee Curtis as she returns as the infamous babysitter Laurie Strode, the arch nemesis of the Halloween franchise’s main villain Michael Myers.
The original Halloween from 1978 is a low budget horror film and with Blumhouse’s second installment in the 12 series saga, we witnessed a change of guard that will continue in the second installment. And now Laurie Strode is uniting with Tommy Doyle, played by Anthony Michael Hall in a plot to finally take down and unmask Michael Myers.
